Hanshi John Therien is one of the best-known and highly respected teachers in the Martial Arts world today. He is in constant demand to teach seminars in North America, Europe and around the globe. He is the chief instructor of the Therien Jiu-Jitsu & Kickboxing organization, Canada's largest and most successful group of Martial Arts schools.
He has personally licensed and graduated more than 750 black belts and heads instruction for more than 3000 active members in the Can-Ryu system. His management expertise and professionalism has earned him the position of executive director of the World Kobudo Federation (WKF).
The WKF is the most active and non-political Martial Arts organization in the world, with affiliated schools in 30+ countries, counting over 20 000 members.
